The center is open every single holiday as our philosophy is the holidays can really be hard, and no one needs to feel or be alone unless they choose to. Here in Conway; we are all about being a community. You will frequently see members helping out and doing things around the center.

My name is Dee and I am the team leader at The Conway Peer Support Center. I became involved with peer support through a mutual friend. I have learned a lot about what peer support is. I became a floor staff back in the day when I was unable to no longer do what I had been doing. A wise person told me to take a chance and if it doesn't work out at least you tried. Peer Support is sharing life's experiences through respect, mutuality and understanding a person's world view. Understanding another's worldview was an opener for me. It has taught me how to move forward by understanding how others perceive things. I also found doing The Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) very useful. It makes you think of your strengths and weaknesses by using a WRAP toolbox. Through my own personal experiences by sharing and listening I don't feel so alone, for there are others who have experienced things similar to my own experiences. Peer Support has changed me for the better.

Be sure to come by and visit us, and you'll be greeted with a warm friendly smile.
